The Watcher (or The Old Woman of the Notch) after the sun went down. Although the foliage was gone I was still able to get a good shot of this rock formation in the early evening as traffic made its way through Franconia Notch. At first it looked like I would get a good view of the Milky Way from up on the cliff but the clouds rolled in and there was just enough color to make the sky interesting. It was cold and windy and not a hike I would recommend at night. This was a 25 second exposure with a little light painted on the rock face from my headlamp.
