Full Moon over Katahdin
Full Moon over Katahdin
Mount Katahdin is one of the New England mountains I’ve long aspired to capture with a full moon. Its story and scale inspire a sense of adventure and embody New England’s ruggedness. However, the very features that make Katahdin so iconic also create unique weather patterns, often resulting in localized clouds that obscure the view. After many attempts, I finally captured a clear view, framing the full moon rising just above its snow-dusted peak from 26 miles away. The moment was a hard-won reward, capturing the quiet grandeur of Maine’s highest summit beneath the moon's gentle light.
