The fog in the Pioneer Valley creates some of the most beautiful scenes in Massachusetts. I found the river covered in a low-lying fog during an early morning in late October. The colors of the foliage were deep and saturated after the sun rose and hid behind an eastern cloud. The Holyoke Range provided a nice background element far away across the sea of fog behind the vibrant trees on Mount Warner in Hadley, MA
